Photographer Hazel Gaskin grew up in Dublin, Ireland, which shapes her practice today. Her work explores themes of identity, community, youth and often centres on the voices of young people. Through her approach, she documents people and place, focusing on ritual, connection and the nuances of everyday life. Hazel recently earned a Master’s in Sociology with a focus on Photography and Urban Cultures from Goldsmiths, University of London. The program’s emphasis on the relationship between photography and critical theory continues to influence her approach to both fashion and commissioned work.
